Q: What if your camera breaks? What if your memory card goes bad? What if you lose the files?

A: This is possibly the single biggest reason to use a pro. There is a saying that two is one and one is none. I strictly abide by this. I have backup cameras, lenses, flashes, and memory cards. Enough batteries to last me a month without recharging. My cameras record to two memory cards simultaneously, in case one card goes bad. I backup my photos at both my home office and my downtown office, as well as the JPGs being archived in my online gallery service. Why take chances when modern technology makes safeguarding your once-in-a-lifetime moments so easy?

Q: We are interested, now what?

A: You can fill out the contact form and I will get back to you ASAP. From there we will arrange a time and place to meet and get to know each other. I can answer any questions you may have, you can review and sign the contract if you wish, and we can even set a time and date for your engagement photos.

Q: What do we get with our wedding package?

A: We will get together to take some engagement photos. On the day of your wedding I will be there for about 12 hours usually, from 10 to 10. I like to capture all the elements that go into the day, from makeup at the hotel to dance contests after dark. After your wedding I process and edit every single photo, uploading them to an online gallery. I also give you three USB drives containing the photos. Print rights are also included. There are no hidden fees.

Q: What kind of cameras do you use?

A: I use Canon 5D Mark III professional grade cameras and Canon L professional lenses. For those who know/care, I cover focal lengths of 16mm through 200mm. My gear is made to shoot in the lowest possible light so you don’t need to worry about me flashing away during the ceremony. Flash IS a fun way to spice up reception photos and get the highest quality indoor portraits though- I have an extensive wireless flash setup for any shooting conditions. I process photos in Aperture 3 with Photoshop CS6.

Q: How long does it take to get our pictures back? How many pictures do we get?

A: I typically have the online gallery up within 4 to 6 weeks. Most wedding sets are 500-700 fully processed,. unique photos. I often include duplicates in black and white or with other effects.
